Matthew Hough - Electric Guitar


Matthew Hough is a composer and guitarist living in New York City. His music has been performed and/or presented by such groups as Wet Ink (2007-8 season), Red Light New Music (2006 Commission), What We Want!!! (2008), New Paths, New Music (2007-8 Season), S.E.M. Ensemble (2007 Young Composers Readings), Manhattan Composers Orchestra, and Ensemble O.C.N.M. In 2008, he received an Honorable Mention from the New York Youth Symphony's First Music Composers Commissioning Program. His music has been featured at the Ostrava Days Festival (Czech Republic), Columbia University Experimental Music Festival (New York), Zeuuws-Vlaams Orgelfestival (Netherlands), Neon Hates You Festival (Los Angeles), Hive Days One Festival (Chicago), and has been featured on WNYC radio (Spinning On Air with David Garland), the Howard Stern Show, and WPRB Princeton. As a performer, he has worked with numerous ensembles including Wet Ink, Argento Chamber Ensemble, Columbia Composers, S.E.M., Blarvuster, the Janacek Philharmonic Orchestra, and the groups Zs and Seductive Sprigs, both of which he co-founded.
